SATURDAY AUGUST 16th:
Breagh narrowly wins the 2008 Annapolis Royal Regatta by 6 seconds over Evening Sun, and 53 seconds over Red Stripe. Close racing was the order of the day as the Honourable Mayann E. Francis, O.N.S., Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, was on hand to oversee the race operations and distribute the trophies from the stage of the Kings Theatre. Ninety seconds separated the top four boats in the final tally. Thanks to David and Sylvia Irvine who represented the Club at the official luncheon and awards ceremony, and to Amery Boyer and Sally Burnie for organizing the event.
